Silver Heart Award Spotlight: Angie, Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice – Greater Akron

Beloved as the “force that holds this place together,” Silver Heart Award recipient Angie leads by example. She works as a clinical supervisor with Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice – Greater Akron and has stepped up to advocate for staff while championing the organizational mission.
Consistently, Angie goes above and beyond to listen to her staff and resolve any issues with fairness and integrity. One team member commented, “Angie tackles the role of the “middleman” between staff and upper management, and she takes ownership of her position to make Ohio Living a great place to work. She is willing to make accommodations to better the work environment, including postponing her personal vacation time.”
Another nominator added, “Angie is the most solid person in the office. She is the force that holds this place together, in good times and in tough times. She understands the nurses and case managers in the field and can build bridges with clients and decisions. Angie ‘goes to bat’ for the staff every day, asking what she can do to help and support them.
