How to make sure you see us in your Facebook feed

If you were paying attention to all the news in 2017, you’ll know that social media now plays a much larger role in people’s lives. Facebook recently announced changes to how they decide what will be showing up in subscriber’s news feeds. The changes include the reduction of news and posts from businesses and other organizations. Ohio Living Breckenridge Village wants to make sure you still get all the information and community stories from us that you have in the past. To accomplish that, we’ve compiled the following steps to make sure that you see us in your Facebook Newsfeed.

 

If you are on the Facebook app on an iPhone, iPad or Android device

·         Tap on the menu in the bottom right corner of the app.

·         Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap on settings

·         Tap on News Feed Preferences

·         Tap on Prioritize who to see first

·         Tap on all the people and pages you always want to see in your Newsfeed. (remember to tap on Ohio Living Breckenridge Village). You will see a blue star next to the person whose page that you have selected.

·         Tap on done in the upper right had corner once you have selected all the people and pages you wish.

 

If you are on Facebook on a computer

·         Open Facebook.com in your browser

·         Click on the arrow pointing down in the upper right-hand corner of the screen

·         Click on News Feed Preferences

·         Click on Prioritize who to see first

·         Click on all the people and pages you always want to see in your Newsfeed. (remember to click on Ohio Living Breckenridge Village) You will see a blue star next to the person whose page that you have selected.

·         Click on done once you have selected all the people and pages you wish.

·         Click on the x in the upper right-hand corner to close the pop up box.
