Senior Independence of Greater Toledo will once again be at the annual Caregiver Expo sponsored by the Area Office on Aging of Northwest Ohio on Sat. Nov. 8. This is the seventh year for the event and Senior Independence is proud to say that they have been there from the beginning. The Expo draws hundreds of caregivers who are looking for products and services that will help them help their loved one.

Alzheimer’s Disease was first discovered in 1906 by a German physician, Dr. Alois Alzheimers. Little was known about the disease until the Alzheimer’s Association was established. Through the work of the Association not only has awareness increased but so has funding for research and services to Alzheimer patients and their families.

By Deb Sanders Just over three years ago, I made the decision to become a part of the Dorothy Love marketing team. As I made this life-changing decision, I thought, “What am I doing?” I was stepping way out of my comfort zone. I had been in marketing/advertising for over 30 years but had no knowledge of retirement living. “It should be a piece of cake” I continued to tell myself. I am usually a very confident person but I was feeling a little unsure. However, it only took a few short weeks for me to gain the tool I needed to market Dorothy Love – belief.
