Happy National Data Privacy Day!

Posted on January 28, 2020 in Learning

We all want to think we are keeping our important information confidential, but today with social media and increasing online connectivity our privacy is continually being challenged. In the news you might have heard about privacy issues related to facial recognition technology, Google’s health data collection, DNA testing, and Facebook data sharing. As we continue to live more of our lives online, it’s important to stay vigilant. Always be cognizant of the different terms and conditions of social media, apps, and other software that you use.

At Ohio Living we practice under the regulations of HIPAA Privacy and Security, and we take the protection of our resident and patient data very seriously. As an organization we perform daily due diligence and audits to ensure we are following the HIPAA regulations. And each Ohio Living team member operates with procedures and controls for their daily duties to keep your information safe and confidential.
