Ohio Living ranked by Fortune as Top 50 Best Workplaces in Aging Services

Posted on October 10, 2018 in In The News

Ohio Living has been nationally ranked on Fortune magazine’s list of Best Workplaces in Aging Services. Ohio Living is the only Ohio-based organization on the list, appearing at number 22 out of 50 workplaces ranked.

This is the first year that Fortune has published a list for the aging services industry. To determine the rankings, Fortune research partner Great Place to Work analyzed survey results from more than 162,000 employees working in the industry. Ohio Living’s certification as a Great Place to Work is what qualified it to be considered for this prestigious honor.

“I believe the chief responsibility of management is to help our employees succeed in their efforts,” says CEO Laurence C. Gumina. “That’s why we provide our leaders with regular education and training to help them improve their leadership skills for the benefit of their teams. I want this investment in our leaders to result in our teammates finding Ohio Living to be the best place they’ve ever worked.

As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, Ohio Living identifies six core values at the heart of its operation — care, customer service, integrity, innovation, financial stewardship and leadership. Its culture of appreciation and recognition is designed to reward living out each of these values. “You can see example after example of these values brought to life each and every day through the work of our team members,” Gumina says.
