Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice Greater Columbus holds annual Celebration of Life

On Tuesday, May 9, Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice Columbus held its Annual Celebration of Life at Franklin Park Conservatory.  This Celebration of life allows family members of clients that have passed to join the employees of our location and have fellowship with the goal of remembering their loved ones.

This special service creates a healing atmosphere for us to come together and reminisce about those we have lost in the past year.  This annual celebration took place at Franklin Park Conservatory, and included the Dulcimer Group music, selection of music by Pam Richardson, our Music Therapist, and reading of the names by our Hospice Clinical Liaison Julie Maynard, RN.  Additionally, each name is placed on a butterfly and hung on our butterfly tree.  We also give the families an opportunity to come and place the butterfly on the tree when their loved ones' name is read.

This year, as every year, the ceremony was also blessed to have our Spiritual Counselor Chaplain Mike Peebles' direction and was organized by our Volunteer Coordinator, Stephanie Joseph.
