Lake Vista of Cortland will dedicate The Haynam Walkway September 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. on campus at 303 North Mecca Street. Friends, family and associates will gather to thank Lake Vista resident and donor Jane W. Haynam, whose gift made the walkway possible and to honor Mrs. Haynam’s late husband Harvey Haynam.

Snyder Named Associate Executive Director for Lake Vista of Cortland

Troy A. Snyder has been named Associate Executive Director for Lake Vista of Cortland, an Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) community. Snyder has more than 15 years experience in the health care field and is a licensed nursing home administrator. For the last seven years, Snyder has served as a regional manager for a large nursing home chain and was responsible for full oversight of nine long-term care facilities. He is a graduate of Penn State University where he earned a degree in Health Policy Administration. Troy also served in the US Marines.

Lake Vista Receives Medicare Certification

Executive Director Mary Cochran today announced that Lake Vista of Cortland has received Medicare certification for its new Nursing and Rehabilitation Center-- meeting the criteria set forth by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Medicare covers people who are either age 65 and over, or who meet other special criteria.
