Grunden Appointed New Executive Director of Palliative Care

Ohio Living Palliative Care recently named Rebecca Grunden, CNP, Executive Director of Palliative Care.
In her new role, effective Sept. 8, 2021, Rebecca will support statewide efforts to expand Ohio Living’s palliative care services. She played an instrumental role in establishing the initial Ohio Living Palliative Care program in 2017.
Rebecca served on Ohio Living Greater Toledo’s home health and hospice team for the past six years. She has experience in hospice, palliative care, wound care and nursing home care.
“I am passionate about serving and providing care for those who are dealing with serious illnesses,” said Rebecca. “I’m looking forward to working with our campus communities, home health locations and Ohio Living Physician Services’ providers to deliver compassionate care to our clients.”
Rebecca holds a master’s degree in nursing science from The University of Cincinnati and a bachelor’s degree in science from Lourdes College.
“I’ll strive to develop a program that is client-centered, faith-based and tailored to each individual’s needs,” said Rebecca. “I’m eager to work with our clients to best support them in choosing their own comfort levels. It is important for our clients to know they have control and direction of the care that is provided to them.”
