(COLUMBUS, Oct. 20, 2014) – Rockynol Retirement Community broke ground on a new Assisted Living Center on Oct. 14. The $11 million project will include the latest in Assisted Living amenities and services, and a cooked-to-order kitchen with full-service restaurant style dining.

“We are excited to bring forward Akron’s premier choice for first class Assisted Living apartments,” said Kara Hanzie, Rockynol Executive Director during Tuesday’s groundbreaking. “Our residents deserve the highest quality of care and this investment is proof of our commitment.”

The project, expected to be completed in late 2016, is designed by JMM Architects with exterior architecture inspired by surrounding neighborhood homes, and Welty Building Company of Fairlawn, Ohio as the contractor.

“Rockynol will continue to be a supporting pillar of the Akron community. Our 48 year history at this West Akron location has delivered unwavering, compassionate, and excellent health care and senior services,” said Hanzie.

Rockynol is located at 1150 West Market Street, Akron, Ohio, 44313. Call 330.867.2150 for more details.
