Silver Heart Award Spotlight: Kelly, Ohio Living Dorothy Love
Posted on March 07, 2023 in
Recognizing Silver Heart Award recipient Kelly, who has spent 34+ years working at Ohio Living Dorothy Love and currently leads maintenance efforts across the campus. He is described by his team an amazing supervisor who stands up for what’s right and guides with patience.
His direct report shared, “Many people don't understand the responsibility that comes along with Kelly's job, and it's immense. Our campus has its own water and wastewater - we are not connected with the city lines. Practically, this means that someone must take and pass the test 365 days a year (just like the city workers that run the city plants), to be compliant with OEPA. Whether a pump goes down at 10 p.m. or heavy rain causes impacts, Kelly goes above-and-beyond to keep everyone safe. I have worked for Kelly for over 10 years and can say that he looks out for his staff and the residents here. He never asking anyone to do something that he himself wouldn't do. He is always conscious of budgets and standing up for what is right, all while keeping an open mind and rolling with any changes. I am so appreciative of his leadership and friendship.”
