Silver Heart Award Spotlight: Sany, Ohio Living Rockynol
Posted on May 09, 2023 in In The News
We recognize and appreciate Silver Heart Award recipient Sany, a long-tenured nurse who extends tireless loving care to residents at Ohio Living Rockynol. She volunteered to care for COVID unit residents in 2020 and continues to set the example of what it means to be a servant leader.
Her team resounded in agreement that she was deserving of this award.
One leader shared, "Sany has worked in our healthcare center for 15+ years. Even prior to COVID, she gave exceptional care to our rehabilitation residents, and I would receive many compliments from families and patients about her care, positive attitude and how she would go above and beyond with anything the needed. When COVID hit our community early in the pandemic, Sany was right there with us to do anything she could to care and comfort our residents. Once we were cleared to take admissions again, Sany volunteered to care for our residents on the COVID unit. This was in May of 2022, when not much was known about the dreaded virus and no vaccine for 6 months. Sany rose to the call of caring for our residents, as well as the Akron community since we were one of the only COVID units in the county. Sany is an absolute treasure and is most deserving of this award!”
In the coming weeks, we’ll continue to highlight our winners in a series of spotlight blogs. Be sure to follow along!
