Environmental Services Week Employee Spotlight: Ron C.

Often behind the scenes, our environmental services team works diligently to keep Ohio Living communities in clean and safe working order. From serving electrical to maintenance needs and beyond, we’re grateful for their unique skills and competencies. Ron C., who was recently promoted to assistant director of maintenance is an integral part of the team.
Ron came to work at Ohio Living Mount Pleasant in 2014, on the heels of being a power plant operator for Dayton Power & Light Company. He was encouraged by a friend who worked at the community to apply, and the rest, as they say is history.
“I was able to use my many, but also limited skills in electrical, plumbing carpentry and planning,” explained Ron. “I’ve learned that the things that bring me the most joy are when myself or anyone that I work with expresses pride in what they fix or identify as the root cause of a problem. Even if we must bring in a vendor, if we know the cause and what to look for in the future, I know we learned more about what we do.”
Ron emphasized, “My team is the best! I know what they can handle and that’s just about anything. They care so much about what they do here and take care of everything as if they own it!”
