(MONROE, September 5, 2015) – Today Mount Pleasant Retirement Community announces the launch of TripleCare’s telemedicine solution, enabling the delivery of scalable, high-quality care to patients in need after hours. Through the use of board-certified physicians, TripleCare telemedicine provides clinical support at the bedside while also helping to establish cutting-edge centers of care.

TripleCare co-founder, Dr. David Chess will be at Mount Pleasant on Wednesday, Sept. 9 to share his thoughts behind the program, and educating local physicians, social workers and other health related professionals.

"We are thrilled to offer the TripleCare solution at a facility that cares so deeply about its patients,” said Susan Riley, TripleCare CEO. “We’ll help facilitate Mount Pleasant Retirement Community’s mission to avoid re-hospitalization by bringing an 80 percent success rate that simultaneously reinforces care.”

In line with Mount Pleasant Retirement Community’s dedication to improving quality of life, patients and their loved ones can continue to expect customized, compassionate services — further enhanced by this two-way video and digital diagnostic equipment. TripleCare’s doctors provide patients with immediate onsite care without disruption, working closely with their existing nurses and facility doctors to deliver thorough and seamless treatment.

“We’re proud to be the pilot community for this program, which will allow us to offer such innovative care for our residents,” said Stan Kappers, Mount Pleasant’s Executive Director. “Now with simply the push of a button, our nursing team has a quality doctor on call after hours.”

This is just one more step in Mount Pleasant Retirement Community’s continued efforts to couple the best care with the best in technology, making it a skilled nursing facility beyond compare.
