Mount Pleasant Retirement Village Opens New Medical Clinic

(MONROE, July 18, 2014) – Mount Pleasant Retirement Village is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for its new medical clinic on Tuesday, July 22 at 11:30 a.m. The public is invited to tour the clinic and meet the doctors who will be serving residents from the retirement community and the surrounding area.

"We are extremely excited about this collaboration with quality physicians offering valuable services to our Mount Pleasant residents and the greater community," said Stan Kappers, Executive Director at Mount Pleasant.

M. Atiq Khalid, M.D., a cardiovascular interventionalist who specializes in complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions as well as Michael C. Brondon, DPM and Bridget E. Brondon, DPM, full service podiatrists specializing in providing medical and surgical management of foot and ankle disorders will be seeing patients in the clinic.

All doctors will begin accepting new patients in August 2014. Several more physicians and specialists are expected to join the medical clinic team in the coming months.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be led by The Chamber of Commerce serving Middletown, Monroe and Trenton. A reception following the ceremony and tour will be held in the Mount Pleasant Activity Building.
